Our Mission

To foster awareness of small-press games in the UK and to help new games designers to bring their games to publication.

The group is something of a two-headed beast made up of an assortment of British games designers.

Our first head is our online presence based around this website. Here we hope to create a friendly environment to encourage the discussion of games, and to help new designers to bring their games to publication. Everybody is welcome to join our forums, to talk about games and to discuss the problems and challenges of games design and publishing.

Our second head is our convention presence. To promote small-press games in the UK the Collective Endeavour hopes to be at as many conventions as possible where we will be demoing and selling our games, as well as talking to people about games design.

Members of the Collective Endeavour must be prepared to represent the entire group at as many conventions as is feasible to do so, not just their own games. This means pitching, demoing and talking about other people's games, not just your own. You must also be prepared to put in time online, helping out forum members with their games designs.

Being an active and constructive part of our forums makes you part of the Collective Endeavour.

The best way to find out more is to post a question on our forums, or to come and talk to us at one of the many conventions we'll be at in 2007.

In 2007 we plan to attend Conception (February), Conflagration (February), Concrete Cow (March), Conpulsion (March), UK Games Expo (June), Gencon UK (August), Furnace (October) and Dragonmeet (December).
